As part of our family-oriented culture AgriVision staff members are so much more than team members. We invest in their recruitment, development and retention—offering great pay, benefits and a friendly culture that makes them feel at home. There is also considerable opportunity for every team member to grow, develop and be in control of their career no matter where they start.
Working at AgriVision is more than just a job—it’s a way of life that focuses on family, growth, team member satisfaction and opportunity. Because our team members are more than co-workers, we offer great pay, benefits, extensive career training opportunities and even milk and cookies at the office.
In March, Cheri De Jong and Emily De Jong represented our businesses at the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, California. This four-day event in the Anaheim convention center and arena showcased over 3,500 exhibits in the natural products market, including everything from cheese, milk, and crackers to protein powder and even pet foods.
The conference included a robust education program with presentations by authors, industry pioneers and scientists. This trip provided an opportunity to learn more about what consumers are seeking when they purchase their food.
AgriVision internships provide an excellent opportunity for college sophomores and juniors to get hands-on experience and observe, learn, and perform alongside full-time team members to come away with tangible skills. We offer internships each year and interns are compensated in addition to provided housing, training and supervision. Agriculture majors with a demonstrated interest in a career in farming and dairy are encouraged to apply.
Our farm internship gives students the opportunity to assist in managing large organic and conventional farms in the Texas panhandle. Under the direction of the Ag Techs and the Farm Manager, the farming interns are asked to perform regular tasks needed to run a farm as well as taking samples and researching equipment efficiencies on the farms.
Our dairy internship is available with AgriVision for those who are interested in learning more about the industry and what it takes to dairy farm sustainably at a large scale. Our program allows students to spend time in each area of the operation shadowing the supervisors and learning about what it takes to produce a best-in-class product for our customers. This internship is designed to give students valuable experience that can be applied in a career in dairy farming.
