Supervisor: Senior Accounts Payable

Summary: The Accounting & Finance Assistant provides essential support to the AgriVision Accounting & Finance (A&F) team by assisting with daily operations, performing backup functions for receivables and payables, and ensuring the accurate recording and organization of financial records. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth financial workflows and supporting departmental efficiency.

 

Critical Functions:

• Assist the Accounting & Finance team with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.
• Serve as a backup for receivables, including recording payments and preparing bank deposits.
• Provide support for payables, including data entry and invoice processing as needed.
• Create and distribute invoices as required.
• Review and organize scale tickets to ensure accurate and timely documentation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or bachelor’s in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
• Prior experience in accounting support or administrative finance roles is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with accounts receivable and payable processes
• Experience in agricultural or production environments (a plus but not required)
• Excellent communication and time management skills
